Back on the rails again

My friend Hikari again, this time whisking me away to Kyoto to see my homestay mother, Nobuko.

This morning didn't quite go as planned. I was up late last night taking advantage of the internet connection at the hotel to submit an assignment, and managed to sleep through my alarm, so I woke up at 9 am instead of 7 am. But I'm now on my way and looking forward to seeing Nobuko and family this afternoon.

I had planned to study on the train, but still feeling sleepy (and shinkansen are strangely soporific, which doesn't help) so I might keep reading Bad Science instead.
