Sun, sea, boquerones!

We're enjoying sun, sea, and - well, lots of food in Malaga!

Amazing boquerones al limon at Pura Pescaito in the old town.

Equally amazing home-made desserts, turron and rice pudding flavour cakes.

A drinking establishment, I assume.

As opposed to fake sugar?

The indispensible buttocts pad.

And push-up de silicona.

But no Google ice cream.

We're sure we've seen this tree before, but maybe in different colours.

The main lights on Caille Larios.

And from underneath.

One just for mom!

The moon seen down a side street.

Little acrobats on a pipe across the road.

This didn't quite come out - a weathervane highlighted against the moon.

Pkles of poinsettas everywhere.

Tree trunks wrapped in lights on Paseo del Parque.

Looking up at the amphitheatre and fort.

A tree made entirely of lights.

All the jamon!

Some things never die.

Official Hello Kitty fan.

Note the rose in her hair instead of the bow!

Lots more jamon at Cote Ingles.

A new first for us - aspirational toothpaste.

It's a long way ftom the spelling I know.

You're just making that up.

Back at Puro Pescaito. This was EUR 4.00. The rest of Europe is doing it wrong.

Beautiful wall tiles.

No. 3 is the best craft beer name we'vd seen yet.

Beautiful tree in bloom near the harbour.

Hard to believe this is December.

DIY SOS - the box contains equipment for winching someone back to shore.

Slightly Dali-esque bouncy castle.

Looking out over the port, with naval vessels and tugs on the left.

Catching up in the sun

We're in Spain!

We kept threatening to go away for a long weekend somewhere, and David was away on a business for his birthday, so we combined the two snd are in Malaga for a few days.

Zurich was looking very Christmassy before we left, but oh so cold.

Red leaves near the universities.

Pop-up gluwein bar at Stadelhofen.

Christmas beers in the station.

Even Mongolian beer!

Not sure what these are, but they always appear around Christmas.

Not sure if this is the same Kona as coffee or cotton, but I like "liquid aloha".

Lights on Bahnhofstrasse.

The neighbours are taking lights seriously.

We took my friend Gerry to Miyuko's and were given a little freebie! ^__^

Red leaves in front of the local supermarket.

That's all for now - photos of Malaga to come!

Twinkle twinkle

Back in Zurich. The inbox is half-defeated, but the hardest things have been left lurking there. I haven't even had time to write thank-you notes, this week has been so busy. I have, however, managed to eat halfway sensibly and go swimming three times! I've signed up for a year's membership at the local pool, and annoyingly haven't been able to go since. Now I just need to learn to swim a real stroke. Being there on Wed night with the training triathletes was somewhat daunting.

In other news, it's cold. I need to find my coat and sew the buttons on, I even managed to find the new buttons while unpacking after the move. My friend Gerry should be touching down about now, she's here for the weekend to see the Christmas markets, and I'm taking her to Miyuko's tomorrow as it's her birthday on Monday!

Parting shot

And it's goodnight from Shibuya

The last batch of posts have come to you from the Starbucks overlooking Shibuya's famous 'scramble' crossing. Time to back up the photos, put the phone in the post and go for the last train to the hotel. That's all from Tokyo, for now!

Last meal

Sat at the counter of a tempura restaurant. ^___^

Um

Omu-soba, which I can only assume is soba wrapped in an omelette.

Zombie music

HMV!
