My chariot - a Nozomi service on the Tokaido Shinkansen line. This is a rare experience for me, as I normally travel with the Japan Rail Pass and it doesn't cover the Nozomi. Taking a Hikari or Kodama would be cheaper, but there wasn't one for nearly another hour and I promised I'd be in Kyoto at 6:30.
